Is the Manhattan Special becoming rare in North Brooklyn?

By wizardishungry

I haven’t been able to locate a Manhattan Special in East Williamsburg/Bushwick at any of my local bodegas nor the yuppie groceries. No one in the blogosphere has mentioned not finding it. What is going on here people?

Yes No Maybe

And what’s going on down on Flushing Ave. — YES NO MAYBE — a new café? A new venue? According to BuswickBK.com, it is owned by “Jeffrey Lohn [...] of the late-70s no wave band Theoretical Girls.” Hmm. Todd P favorite Don Pedro’s is having some good shows (MV / EE, Charalambides, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone), so I’m feeling pretty good about my local “West Bushwick” hood.
